Top-Rated Public & Private Schools

Schools are a big reason families choose Summerlin. Here are some of the best-known public, magnet, and private options in and around the community.

Top Public Schools

Summerlin homes are zoned to Clark County School District schools, and zoning is set by address — so the exact school depends on the street. Confirm zoning with CCSD before you buy.

  • Palo Verde High School — strong academics, athletics, and AP offerings
  • Sig Rogich Middle School — one of the district’s most respected middle schools
  • West Career & Technical Academy — magnet high school, admission by lottery
  • Doral Academy and Coral Academy of Science — tuition-free charter options nearby

Top Private Schools

Summerlin and the surrounding west valley are home to several of the area’s best-known independent and faith-based schools. Tuition and admissions vary, so check with each school directly.

  • The Meadows School — independent, college-prep, preschool through grade 12
  • Bishop Gorman High School — Catholic high school known for athletics and college placement
  • Faith Lutheran Middle & High School — Christian school for grades 6–12 with strong academics and arts
  • Alexander Dawson School — independent preschool through grade 8, with a STEM and arts focus
